Removal Company & Woman with a Van Terms & Conditions
Clients name:
- The K & K Removals vehicle is a 11.3ft Mercedes Luton Dropwell with Barn doors & Loading lights inside & out.
- The REMOVAL means moving your household goods from your current house/flat to your new house/flat based on the addresses you provided. Please state if any lifts/stairs or difficult access either end.
- Our Formal Quotation is £ or hourly rate of £
- The quote is based on the information that the client has provided at the time of viewing or by email, text or phone.
- These charges apply from depot to depot.
- Any estimates that are given to you verbally, is an estimate.
- The quoted price is subject to the final cost of your removal job. subject to clauses 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 25, 28, 29
- A Deposit of around 25% of the removal quote Is required when booking to secure the date of removal if known.
- K & K Removals reserve the right to refer your removals job to another independent company on the day of your removal.
- Key Wait, whilst we are waiting for your permission to enter the new property that you have acquired. Key wait charge is £100 if waiting from 2.30pm this is not included in the estimate.
- Delays due to road conditions are £50 per hour. The client to inform K & K Removals the most suitable route to their new home for the 11.3ft Luton Dropwell avoiding low bridges 11.4ft or less.
- Extra vans or labour (if available) can be supplied to the client’s removal job if requested by the client 7 days prior to their house removal date. There will be an extra charge for this.
- By request of the client we can dismantle or assemble a unit or system of furniture. Disconnect, reconnect, washers/dishwashers, however we will not disconnect a gas cooker, we can disconnect an electric cooker but we will not reconnect either. A rate of £60 per hour is applied. Should you have requested us to do this we shall not be liable for any damages.
- Parking or other fees/charges whilst carrying out services on your behalf will be charged to the client.
- The client or his appointed representative should be in attendance during the time of the removal service.
- K & K Removals have Goods in Transit Insurance Limited to £10000. Client excess of £350. On Request Only.
- For ownership of the goods, by entering into this agreement, you guarantee that:
a. Goods to be removed and/or stored at your own property or
b. The person(s) who own or have an interest in them has given you authority.
- The client should ensure that all their goods to be moved have been placed in the van.
- The client should ensure that all their goods are removed from the van at the end of job.
- Valuable or fragile items, e.g. jewellery, cash, drugs, mirrors, TVs, ornaments, family heirlooms, food or perishable items etc are to be taken by the client. If we take any of these they’re not covered and moved at your risk.
- Items packed by the client are at the client’s own risk when transported by K & K Removals. Please ensure that all boxes are double skin lined or plastic with lids. Please ensure boxes are taped top and bottom, not left open ideally and labelled what items are in the box, and which room they’ll go into the new house.
- Wrap, stack and well pack plates/cups/glasses, photos and anything delicate individually ensuring the items are well packed and cant move if upside down. Fragile items/boxes marked up fragile. Your own personal clothes are packed proficiently.
- Please ensure that all loose items are packed in preferred box size. Please don’t over load boxes. Use smaller boxes for heavy items such as books. And large boxes for the lighter items. Bin liners maybe used for soft unbreakable items. Please visit our Facebook for preferred box size.
- Cancellation: If K & K Removals has to cancel your move, a full refund of your deposit will be returned.
- Client Postpone or Cancellation. If you need to change dates your deposit will be honoured to the next available date but is non-refundable. If cancelling prior to 2days of the removal a full refund is given. After 2 days prior to the removal it will become non-refundable.
26.Abusive language or behaviour against our staff will be interpreted as a breach of contract and the job will be cancelled under the potential threat of further intimidation by the client. No refunds will be given.
- We endeavour to be with you on the day of removal at an agreed time, although delays can happen due to traffic conditions, breakdowns etc. Please contact us on the morning of your house removal date to obtain the expected arrival time.
- CASH or BACS or CARD can be accepted. Although Card transfers will be charged + 2% of total removal cost. Removal costs to be paid in full on the day before completing the job.
- If it transpires that the removal cannot be completed on the same day, due to client related conveyancing, the client may inform us to either, take their goods to a storage facility the client has organised and paid for, or return clients goods back into the house or enquire if we can, store the clients goods in a locked van overnight (goods not insured). Either of these options completes our removal day contract. If the client wishes to appoint us the following day to do a removal we will be pleased to provide another quote.
- Single to multiple item furniture Removals or Woman & Van or Local Price Match quotes are given, none of the above insurance will be applicable. Items will be moved at owners risk. We shall not be liable for any damage to the items, other items and or properties/driveways.
- Disputes. In the event of dispute, the route of arbitration should be considered.
